Chocolat Chaud
Years ago, I was in a Lindt chocolate store, and they happened to be serving hot chocolate. It was so delicious and reminded me of chocolat chaud I had in Paris. Lindt recently came out with vegan truffles made with oat milk, so this seemed like the perfect time to recreate this cozy drink for all to enjoy. I made a vegan version with dark chocolate oat milk truffles and oat milk, but you can use any type of milk or Lindt truffles. Mint, caramel, hazelnut, there are so many good options! The truffles act as little hot chocolate bombs in the steamed milk and melt quickly and smoothly. This is such an enjoyable treat to share with family and friends on a cold day.
Ingredients
1 cup milk of choice
4 Lindt truffles of choice
cocoa powder for garnish, optional
Directions
In a small saucepan add the milk and place over low heat. Once the milk starts to steam, remove the pan from the heat and add in the Lindt truffles. Stir with a spoon until well mixed.
Pour into an 8 oz glass and top with a sprinkle of cocoa powder if desired.
